Spaghetti Lunch Fundraiser
April 7 following Sunday School in the Fellowship Hall.
Free will donation. Spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and dessert will
be served. Come support Sally, Jacie and Brooke as they raise
funds for their Costa Rica mission trip through the 4TEN leadership
program and the Central Region.
These ladies have been taking part in training sessions throughout the year. The culmination of their training is a mission trip to Costa Rica. Below is a description of some of the work they will be doing.
MISSION PROJECTS - The ABCCR 4TEN Youth will serve as volunteer workers at the FABCR Camp Ochomogo. They will build relationships with Costa Rican youth and adults through arts and crafts, food preparation, games, language acquisition (English-Spanish exchange), music, work projects (e.g., cleaning, landscaping, painting, and weed removal), and a one-day excursion to an abandoned asylum and dormant volcano.
About 4TEN…………….4TEN brings youth (mature 10th - 12th graders in the upcoming Fall) together from churches in our region and is designed to build the faith and leadership skills of this generation of disciples and leaders. 4TEN will be doing a vital work equipping young people with bedrock principles of leadership, and communication skills.
4TEN brings youth together for three retreats that focus on these areas:
• Spiritual Formation – learning and practicing spiritual disciplines to become more Christ-like in their lives
• Theological Formation – understanding the essentials of the Christian
• Missional Formation – spreading God’s love in the world we live in and the world beyond our own
• Leadership Formation – tools to equip youth to become servant leaders
Sunday School- All middle school and High school students are invited and encouraged to come join us Sunday morning following morning worship, and cookie time. We will discuss the sermon, and jump into our devotional time. Hope you can all make it!
Middle School– Wednesday evenings, we will meet for a meal for those able to join us, starting around 530, and then youth activities will begin at 615, and end at 745. We will have a time for games, worship, prayer, and small group study time. All middle schoolers are welcome!
High School- We are taking a break from our Sunday night gatherings. Keep posted for when and where the next high school activity will be.
